LizT
This fellow is my 'dream' dog, I grew up with him watching over me and he 'came to life' often in my child imaginings. I have loved him for half a centuary. He is my one of my Fathers' (Moulder) Apprentice pieces and Dad has told me what he is 'supposed' to be. Made just after WW2. As sometimes happens with dogs, his tail meet with an "acident" many years ago and was grinded back from where a small piece snapped off. DOLers, what breed do you think 'my dog' is? :)

SparkyTansy
very stocky for a pointer breed, but he has a head like a gundog. maybe some kind of scent hound?
TheCheekyMonster
could be a warped Dalmatian? but i +1 for pointer
Chequeredblackdog
Hmmmm...I'm definitely thinking some sort of gun dog. The shape looks a bit heavier than your average pointer etc, maybe a bit like a Bracco Italiano?
Nevafollo
Its either a VERY muscley and over done Pointer (of the english variety) or could be one of these :-) Either way LOVELY statue :-) Edited August 29, 2012 by Nevafollo
mr.mister
Definitely a gun dog I think, and I'd say something similar to a pointer. The stockiness is probably just a slight miscalculation of your dad's. That's just what I can see anyway. :)
trinabean
The Arnie Schwarzenegger of the pointer world? Nevafollo's video looks close.
