mollipop Posted August 27, 2012 Share Posted August 27, 2012 My girl is currently having her second season and acting very strangely (or maybe just differently to my other girls). Her first season was back in January and seemed very normal. She was staying with my son at the time and was flirty and flagging for his dog (desexed). Today is day 15, she is still not flagging and won't let my dog near her. He is at the "frantic" stage so she must be ready. He is an experienced stud dog and is very sensible until exactly the right time. Maybe she just doesn't fancy him?? I am not intending to mate them this time but can I expect problems in the future? Last time she was mated the very day of the first mating she was with my boy and did not flag, but when taken to her mating partner was a willing participant. I have no plans on mating with my boy so this is no problem for me. Maybe you are ready to mate you are going to have to take you boy away (to a kennel or willing friend) and bring him back when she is ready?
