Ping
I was presented with the perfect opportunity to have a go at backlighting. I struggled heaps with getting the camera to do what I wanted it to. But I did eventually manage this .... Clicking Mad
Love it, is that a dog in the background? Not one of yours? it looks like whippet? Or am I completely off base? I was wondering about that from an unknowing-eye ... it's Chester ... obviously just what he looks like all out of focus :D ping - nice rainbow of colours being thrown there, well seen opportunity :)

Kirislin
beautiful dog teekay, what is it? here's one from yesterday, it was still misty on the river but the sun was just starting to come up. 5F6A2970t by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A2983dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Edited October 14, 2012 by Kirislin
tlc
Beautiful shots in here everyone! Teekay, Luka has grown into such a stunner, reminds me so much of one of GayleKs dogs, similar markings. Kirislin, that second shot is just awesome!
teekay
Luka is an Australian Shepherd Kirislin. Funnily enough tlc, GayleK does have an Aussie from Tillsun, where Luka came from, but she looks nothing like Luka. I do think one of her others, Dusty I think it is, is a bit similar although from completely different lines. Love the sunlight streaming round the tree Kirislin, gorgeous. Clicking Mad
kirislin - wow those are some nice misty photos by the river! the bats are cool :) teekay - such a beauty! ~~~ still very much loving backlighting :D another backlit fav from early last month :D and a couple of fun ones thanks to Lotus (I think maybe the above ones are more side-lighting? though they have that backlit washed-out colours on the top left corners? thanks to the sun hitting the lens)

Dxenion
I was sitting on a park bench reflecting on the events of the last couple of months when the sun briefly broke through the storm clouds. (taken on my phone)

Dxenion
Thank you. I had trouble deciding between the previous photo or this crop: I've taken a few backlit photos when I had a p&s (and posted them on DOL somewhere). It's my favourite thing to try and capture. Photographing on the phone has it's challenges though and now that my computer has suffered the blue screen of death, I can only view the images on my phone too. hankdog
Wasn't really going for a backlit shot but kookaburras were not being very considerate about the position of the light. Edited March 3, 2013 by hankdog
