nawnim
Love his cute face. I see kelpie and a little bit of shepherd in the longer coat and the colour. I would say more kelpie than anything else though. Good luck with him.

indigirl
Ahh that's where that pattern on his face comes from lol He def hasa kelpie bark, very sweet dog. I thik he's been ignored in a backyard his entire life he has NO manners and he's not used to being around other dogs either.

Lollipup
He looks really similar to a litter of pups arctic breed rescue just placed into homes. They called them alaskan huskies. I'm not sure if thats a proper breed here or not but if you look them up on facebook, there are lots of photos of the pups. They were born into their care. Esky the husky
Alaskans are a real breed (or breed type depending on who you ask) , but they are very uncommon in Australia. The dogs ABR placed were more likely sibe crosses than alaskans. Judging by the isolated area the OP lives in I'd say the chance of this dog being an alaskan mix is very very very slim indeed. (Not a go at you Lollipup btw :) )
RuralPug
Umm, I was told (on a US forum) that the term "Alaskan Husky" was just another name for a multiple mix much as we might say "Heinz 57" or "Bitzer" (bits of this and bits of that). The only criteria was that the mix was intended for sledding, so I guess much like pig dogs here - mixes but bred for a purpose.
