Boronia
There is an ad in the local paper---> 2 Old English Sheepdogs, 2 years old 1 male 1 fem, desexed, free to good home. I have checked if there is an OES rescue but can't find on DOL. If anyone can suggest a rescue I can email them the advertisers phone number. (I thought it best not to post it here)
Her Majesty Dogmad
Contact Jill at JRT Rescue - she is also OES Rescue although they are very rare!
Guest Arcane
There is an ad here in the mature dog section regarding a pair of OES for rehoming. I'm not sure from the ad whether the dogs are back in the care of the breeder for rehoming or if they are still with the owner and the breeder is assisting with rehoming. I'd hope it's not the same pair but goodness me if there are 2 pairs of OES currently needing new homes. When I finally get settled back in a home I will be on the hunt for a 2nd dog (as my other little dog will be staying with my ex as we just can't bare to remove him from the home he loves when there is no reason that he can't stay there. Sad for me but great for him!) ...and OES will be high on my list as I owned one years ago who was awesome. I'm just not quite ready yet sadly or I would enquire. Boronia
I have emailed Jill as you suggested dogmad. I had a look at the OES's in the mature section but they appear to be in NSW and these are advertised in 'The Redland Times' ( Qld ) Edited July 29, 2012 by Boronia
Her Majesty Dogmad
She probably has a national network though and a waiting list (like my rescue for Italian Greyhounds) so I'm sure she'll be able to help!
JRT RESCUE
I know the Qld club does rescue as well and would imagine they would help if the breeder isn't.
Boronia
I found the Qld OES club details, phoned Robert the Pet Coordinator,(he was the only one I could get hold of), gave him the details and I reckon he will be on the phone to the advertiser as I am writing this. Onya Robert...hope you have some success in finding them good homes
JRT RESCUE
If it is the same ones, the breeder is involved and I believe has found a home for them.
