Tazar
Hi DOLers, Looking for anyone who can shed some more light on the American Bulldog as bred here in OZ atm. I have been doing some research into the American Bulldog and some of the information I have been reading says that both Johnson and Scott bred their respective lines with American Pitbull Terriors (amoungst others) to ensure the breeds continuation. They were registered as American Pit Bulldogs but the name was changed to differentiate it from the American Pit Bull. Any good places I can look to dig further? many thanks :)
Nekhbet
THere are three types of bulldogs, Scott lines, Johnson lines and 'hybrids' of the two lines mixed together. There is papers by their own registry as far as I know, but you have to be careful there are a lot of shonky breeders who will happily charge you over $1000 for a dog with no health tests or quality breeding. Decide what you like about the breed and find a good breeder that suits, http://www.phpbbplanet.com/abnbca/ here is a good start as well
