Attached is the poster for the opening night film War Dogs of the Pacific. I'll post other information about other films in separate posts. Profits are split between the Animal Welfare League, Monika's Doggie Rescue and a Balmain dog walking service for the elderly and diabled The film festival will screen films featuring dogs and dog stories and has attracted submissions from New York, London, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia and includes Oscar and BAFTA nominated shorts and feature films, dog animations by Oscar nom’d US animator George Plympton, contributions from the Australian Film, TV and Radio school, the Australian National Sound and Film Archive as well as Harris Done, DOP for Stephen Spielberg. Luc Besson’s company has also sent us a Russian film about wolves. The festival has captured the public’s imagination in a short period of time. Oscar winning animator Bruce Petty has agreed to be a judge for the competitive section and other well known Australian film makers are also judges.
