kazwa
How thick can someone be advertising their pedigreed litter of puppies on gumtree and at the same time advertising their crossbred litter of puppies using and bragging about using their pedigreed stud dog for the litter of crossbreds ?? In this day and age dont they think they will be seen and caught ? OR is it that despite reporting no action is taken by the relevant Dog Councils ? I dont know...just asking the question. In this case a pedigree litter registered with the governing state body and all pups come with pedigree papers, the other litter with the XXXX mother using same stud dog, advertised on the same site and saying another pedigreed litter due for listing in another two weeks. It isnt all about backyard breeders if paid up members of Dogs XX are breeding crossbred litters deliberately to while away the time of their stud dogs and maximise his money earning potential. No wonder breeders are getting a bad rap these days. Adverts in this case screen shotted and documentation sent to the relevant Dogs XX ....will they act ? Who knows. Unlikely any action will be taken unless a formal complaint is made and the appropriate fee is paid.
Janba
You would also have to prove it was intentional cross breeding not an accidental litter
Steve
Who owns the stud dog? Are they pedigreed or registered purebred? Are they registered breeders if so Who are they registered with? There is a kennel in NSW which owns a registered stud dog but they are not Dogs NSW members and Dogs NSW members can mate their girls to it and the owner signs a service certificate and the puppies can be registered or they pay a lesser fee and there is no service certificate provided ad the puppies are not registered but a pedigree can be written. Then they also use the same dog for heaps of cross bred litters. Does the owner of the stud dog have to be a Dogs NSW member ? I thought they did but after asking questions a couple of weeks ago it appears only the owner of the bitch needs to be and they can use a registered dog which is not owned by a member. Nothing stopping a dog being owned by one person one day and another the next anyway. Nothing preventing someone who is a dogs NSW member breeding both cross bred and purebred or even only cross bred either. In Victoria I know several people who are only ever breeding non registered puppies and they are Vic Dogs members in order to get the council exemptions. You don't have to even own a purebred let alone a registered purebred to be a member.

The pedigree litter and the one about due for sale as well are both selling as pedigree with papers so both those litters are registered. Then theres the crossbred litter, which I might add the seller is proud of and proud her pedigreed stud dog has fathered as stated in the advert. GeckoTree
I don't know how thick someone can be in regards to being registered and breeding X breeds? What is to stop them now or in the future. Educate us.
Sheridan
If someone is doing something wrong and you have this evidence, then report them to the KC.
LizT
Do they advertise their purebred pups on DOL?
Steve
Is the stud dog registered to them with SACA? If it is then they cant deliberately breed a registered dog they own with a dog of a different breed .If it is registered in someone else's name they can do what ever they want. There is nothing stopping any one who is with the ANKC breeding cross bred dogs unless they use their own SACA registered dogs.
kazwa
These puppies will come with full pedigree papers as we are registered breeders with DogsSA (Registering bodying in SA), which ensure your puppies are purebred! quoted from their advert. Father of the pups is a black and tan cavalier...location Gawler S.A.

Steve
If they own the Stud dog they have breached the code of ethics as they have agreed not to use THEIR REGISTERED dogs to DELIBERATELY mate it with a dog of another breed. If they own it and it can be proven that its a deliberate mating then one would hope they at least get a kick for it.
mixeduppup
I'd screencap the ad, so that they can't take it down and say it was an accident.
