He looks great Tralee, so pleased he is finally well, I've followed him quietly through your threads.

I bet you will miss him.

I will miss him, very much.

Its been four months now.

Anyway, He has one more Veterinary visit on Thurday for his final check-up.

As you can see below, its time for him to go home. :-)

Puppy (he's about 8 apparently) returned home yesterday.

The outcome of the arthrodesis is more than I expected, so I'm very happy with the results.

I would thoroughly recommend to any people who may be considering the options.

Budget for around $6000 or use insurance.

Dr. was concerned about some lameness and collected a bone sample for a bacterial biopsy.

4-6 weeks antibiotics if infected.

(L) shoulder muscle has atrophied very significantly and puppy needs extensive, doggy type physio.

Anyway, a thoroughly enjoyable venture.

I must do it again sometime.

:)

I don't know about it in the bone but it is a total shit of a bug to have anywhere.

How on earth did he get that in there??????

It would have to have occured during surgery I would think.

:(

poor 'puppy'

What they hell thay are doing allowing with these superbugs to compromise the surgery is beyond me.

Anyway, complaining won't help.

The good should eventually outweigh the bad, at least I hope so.

Puppy is home now, and not happy about it apparently.

So, Ive planned a visit for the new year.

Oh no, really sorry to see this, I hope he is going to be ok.

Will his owner let you know if she is struggling?

Poor Zeus.

My thoughts exactly.

The owner, Zuess's mum, not my missus seems to have things in hand.

Meds, Vet. and payments are being overseen by VSS Carrara, Q.

The whole process has been one big doubt and maybe, so this is just another one, I hope.

Sounds as if he is getting good care then. Just seems such a shame when he looked so well leaving your place, post surgery infection was always my greatest fear with Issy.I guess if they have to cut bone or near bone there is always a risk no matter how careful the vet. Hopefully you'll get a positive update soon.
