We always get breed breakdowns, with our reporting sheets in NZ.

It does help, if we are on first or last so we can plan accordingly, travel wish as well.

Sometimes we hear of a someone looking for a particular breed so we can tell them approx which time.

sometimes its fun trying to work out who is there, often than not im completely wrong.

Also, if you are the only one in your breed, you can always decide not to go...

as we dont work on the points score....

Its not that hard to get the breed breakdown to exhibitors a week before the show, NZ does it all the time......

Here in NSW we get a breakdown more often than not and more recently it will appear online somewhere. But not always.

I know the info must be provided to the judge ahead of the show so the extra step of providing it to us punters in some way surely isnt too onorous is it?? Lots if other show info gets online - amendments etc. ?? Just puzzled.

This may happen in some areas of NSW but certainly not anywhere we have been and that would cover half of the state. We have shown throughout SA, VIC and Western half of NSW as far east as Junee and Parkes area which would be about middle of the state. We do get a breakdown from some clubs in Vic but not all of them and none from the other places.

We work on the theory its like a lottery to get to a show and then discover who your competition is and how many there are. If I knew in advance it tends to take away some of the fun.

As for knowing what time to get to the show- the start time is in the schedule so we make sure we are at the show before the start time. If that means waiting around for our turn then that gives us more time to get the dogs ready.
