Noire
Does anyone know of any fully fenced dog parks in Newcastle/Lake Macquarie/Central Coast? There's certainly a lot of leash free areas around here but I'm after a fully enclosed area for a smaller dog who doesn't have very good recall yet - we're working on it! thanks
Jigsaw
I don't know of any fenced off leash areas in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie. There are some near sports ovals which may incorporate fences but I haven't been to all the parks around town! This is a link to Newcastle's leash free areas Here and Lake Macquarie here Don't know about Central Coast I'm sorry!
melzawelza
Fenced parks are a recipe for dog fights. Avoid them. Go to the unfenced areas with a long lead and train your dog to come back when called

Alfie02
Hi :) I'm in Newcastle and while there arnt any fenced in dog parks there are a few fenced in ovals. The best one with gates that close is the cricket oval in Islington. It is near the kids playground at the park there (you drive past it on maitland road). And then just a short walk over the little bridge is the Islington dog park, which is awesome, everyone is lovely and all the regualars have great dogs :)
