PeiLuvR
I've just seen this Staffy listed! Ad ID 1003353728 I'm hoping Staffy Rescue or anyone who can help, are alerted to this - located Hampton Park Vic R.J is a pure bred red staffy who is just a year old. We rescued R.J only two days ago in the condition he is in now, where he has a damage nerve from having his foot caught in a rabbit trap and cannot move his front left foot. R.J may require a foot amputation which we sadly just cannot afford. He has been dragging his damaged foot, resulting in carpet burn and bruising. Therefore requires the surgery sooner than later. If anyone can offer R.J a home, where they can afford his medical charges. He’s a lovely dog, and could really do with the help. He is up to date with his vaccinations and is microchipped aswell. He is not desexed. Unfortunately there is no phone number.
Her Majesty Dogmad
You can email via Gumtree ads and ask for a phone no. Maybe be a bit proactive and get the info and contact Staffy Rescue in VIC direct. It's high risk for this dog that he'll end up in strife - he must be in a lot of pain plus he's not desexed. I hate to imagine his fate unless someone responsible steps in.
Her Majesty Dogmad
They could also take him to a shelter such as AAPS - why not get their no and talk to them about their options in the nearby area. I'm in Sydney and no good with the geography of VIC.

WreckitWhippet
I'm not sure what they mean by " rescued ". I'd be seriously checking out how he came to be in their possession. He may well have an owner looking for him.

PeiLuvR
Thanks everybody! I have been in contact with some of The Staffordshire Club Of Vic Rescue people. I was just so worried about him so posted here first. Hopefully one of the ladies in the Keysborough area can get in contact with the people! I was concerned about the 'rescued two days ago part' but then realised he is their dog, born 22/5/11, removed from the trap two days ago.. i think! I am not near Hampton Park, otherwise i would drive all the way there and get him myself, if the people make contact and are willing to surrender. I'm horrified that this dog has been in its condition and pain for two days and quite possibly needs the leg removed! Just horrible.

I am afraid you are someway misinformed about what has been happening is VIC Shmoo. A very basic example can be found on AAPS Pet Rescue Listings: gorgeous Amstaff Sammy was recently rehomed. chuckandsteve
Peiluvr If everything falls through and your willing to take I'm sure I could get him moved to you. The sooner you let me know the better as I am going overseas tomorrow but my husband and Dad can help move him no problems
chuckandsteve
I was at the RSPCA looking for my mothers escaped dog 2 weeks ago, and the lady told me they PTS all the unpapered Staffys, whilst I was looking for Mums staffy X. I think it really depends on which pound they end up in, its certainly not a good time for them
