19Caz69
Looking for some toilet training advice ! We have had our 14 wk old cocker spaniel pup for just over 2wks now & toilet training has been coming along well She was at the point where we could leave the door open & she'd take herself out, having only an occasional accident In the last day or so she seems to have gone backwards, peeing in her crate & just squatting on the rug I know she's still only young but any ideas would be much appreciated Thanks
megan_
This is very normal. She obviously isn't toilet trained so keep taking her out after meals and at regular intervals.
Jigsaw
Very normal. Especially if you've had very wet conditions in the past few weeks. It usually sends most pups a bit backwards. I don't consider a dog to be toilet trained until you've gone a month without accidents!
fuzzy82
If you're not rewarding her for going outside and she's just been going on her own, she might think that there's no value in going outside vs going inside anymore. I would go back to basics.
Her Majesty Dogmad
Some of my housetrained dogs are going inside - the weather has caused them to do this. Start again with toilet training, little puppies take a long time.
