Travelling Shots - Dorrigo And Surrounds

 Share

Recommended Posts

I am looking at buying myself a Canon 60D as my first DSLR, and was looking through some of my old photos which were taken on my Panasonic Lumix T7 point and shoot.

I took these a few years back, and lost interest in photography a bit when I started work in Dubbo. Now I am trying to get some more time for myself, and hoping to get back into it. Seeing as the Dorrigo show was this past weekend, thought these photos would suit!

I am interested in comments that might help my future photography pursuits! - Below photos are uncropped and very little if any editing, I can't remember what I did to them at the time.

I'm not good at critiquing because sometimes I dont know myself what I should be looking for. They are photos of a beautiful part of the world but nothing really grabs my attention. They are lacking definition to my eyes, and it's hard to single out a feature to look at. My eye just seems to travel around aimlessly. I'm not sure what the controls are on your camera, with a good camera and lens you will be able to draw attention to a particular feature because you can control the depth of field and focus point. The photo with the big rock and the path gives a crowded feeling to me because the path is chopped off.
