persephone
The dogs are enjoying picking/eating rosehips they can reach! I watched a few of them snuffling amongst the rose bushes teh other day ..thought they were hunting butterflies or something, but, no, it was the rosehips - which were delicately plucked, and chomped up :) Must be getting their vit.C .? CrazyCresties
Perhaps you should make some rosehip syrup for them Pers, then they can enjoy it all year round  FM that's so funny :D Reminds me of my Cocker back in the UK, he loved eating apple blossom - one petal at a time  Please excuse the quality, phone video, but it shows his obsession! Erny
Love your photos, FrodosMum - especially the top one .... that's worth framing Hope everyone is sure there are no chemical sprayed to the rose bushes before your dogs' eat the rose hips. Might dash out and pick a few for my boy - see what he does. I'm so behind with the gardening and trimming, I have lots.

Chris the Rebel Wolf
How interesting! I knew rosehips are high in vit. c and antioxidants... wouldn't have figure dogs to eat them on their own though!
Erny
I offered a couple to my boy yesterday and he looked at me with an expression that suggested I was an idiot if I thought he might enjoy it . Bumma ..... and there I was thinking I had something I could add to his good diet regime on a periodic basis and that it wouldn't cost me anything. Mrs Rusty Bucket
It could be worse. It could be critter crap. That's what my dog loves. She's recently discovered horse poo at the beach (where the trotters exercise). And then there is the stuff in copious quantities at my dog club.
