If you are making one, you’ll need a durable, waterproof/water-resistant container that opens and closes easily yet securely. Print out and tape to the container the phone number for your vet, your rescue vet, the closest emergency animal hospital and poison control hot lines. Also list your own name, address and phone numbers. It should be large enough to hold the items mentioned below. • Animal general first aid book • Blunt nosed scissors • Tweezers • Disposable rubber gloves • Towel • Blanket • Sterile gauze pads • Adhesive first aid tape (narrow and wide widths) • Rolled cotton • Bandages (including self-clinging or vet wrap and waterproof types) • Anti-bacterial wipes or pads • Hot/cold pack • Betadine solution • Antibiotic ointment • Paw paw ointment • Sterile saline eye solution • Styptic powder • Gentle natural pet sedative i.e. Rescue Remedy • Adjustable muzzle • Slip leash. A smaller version of the above is handy to have in your car as well as: • Bottled water • Bowl or other container to use as a water bowl • Spare leash." From my book. (Also great for people) - Bentadine I have oitment and liquid as it depends what I need to use it for. - Lectric Soda Cyrstals Easy was to induce vomitting. This save me alot of money this year when my dogs found the easter egg stash!!! - Rubber Gloves - Cotton wool balls - Tweezers Must be a pair suitable for removing ticks.
