trifecta
Rogan, who has mandibular osteosarcoma, has been on the Budwig diet for about 3 weeks now. Initially he didn't mind it, but increasingly he is having difficulty chowing down such a large quantity : 5tbs oil to 10tbs of cottage cheese. Has anyone tried it with any success? It seems pointless to coax him into eating something he doesn't want if it's not going to be of benefit
Staffyluv
I used to give flax oil and cottage cheese to Ollie. Not that much though. He would get a cople of tablespoons of cottage cheese to a teaspoon of flax oil... I also used tinned tuna and sardines and put flax oil on them. A teaspoon at a time... I think from memory that he used to have about 4 teaspoons a day...
trifecta
Thanks Staffyluv! In the Budwig diet the two ingredients are blended together so that the oil water mix is more easily absorbed into the cell membrane. We are having a break from it for a few days, at which point I may reintroduce it in smaller quantities.
Staffyluv
Yeah we used to mix it up to... Sometimes as a treat I would add a teaspoon of manuka honey to. Edited May 26, 2012 by Staffyluv
