Maxiewolf
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8467315 A serious canine virus has affected more than 100 dogs in Queensland over the past six weeks. The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) is urging all pet owners to immunise their animals against parvovirus especially in high-risk areas such as Brisbane, Gympie, Sarina and West Mackay. Puppies are especially at risk of catching the virus, which can kill 80 per cent of untreated young dogs. AVA Queensland President Tess Guilfoyle says owners of older dogs may still need to immunise. "Some adult dogs may need a booster if the virus has not challenged their immune system in recent years," she said in a statement. Dogs with parvovirus commonly show symptoms of severe vomiting and diarrhoea.

Maxiewolf
Horrible and hangs around for so long! I get concerned when I see people walking obviously quite young puppies out and about I just wince and hope they are vaccinated and that its taken and the dogs have a good immune system. >_< so many "joe publics" just dont realise how horrible and serious parvo is.
