Marion 01
These pups were stolen from a Gracemere Pet Store/shed near Rockhampton. What on earth are 5.1/2 week old pups doing in a pet store anyway. Link: http://www.themornin...from-pet-store/ Edited to clear any confusion alluding to the words "pet barn" Edited May 15, 2012 by Marion
tdierikx
More importantly, why are 5 1/2 week old pups in a pet store overnight?? Owners of the pups are "concerned"?? T.
minimax
Bet they were taken by a activist group or someone who actually wants to take care of them properly and not have them left alone in a petshop overnight!

minimax
I thought Pet Barn didn't sell animals? It's not Pet Barn, it's a shop called The Pet Company
Linda K
another even shocked that such young pups were at any shop, would they have even had vaccinations at that age? (let alone the proper socialisation), not that I think any puppys should be in pet shops (or kittens either for that matter Poor puppys, hope they are OK
LizT
Bet they were taken by a activist group or someone who actually wants to take care of them properly and not have them left alone in a petshop overnight! That's the first thing my son (22) said! But I doubt they would also steal goods. Unless that is to throw police off their trail? Either way a dumb move. Breaking and entering and theft is a BIGGIE. Poor baby puppies.
Squidgy
I am disgusted by the whole situation, the pet store for leaving such little babies in a store overnight and the people who broke in and stole them, activist group or not it is still wrong. I don't actually see where activists groups think they have the right over any other human being when it comes to commiting crimes they seem to think because they chant a catchy phrase or are some part of group like oscars flaw and that malodramatic tantra woman that they have the right to whatever they want, that group btw has gone from being something that originally made sense to just a money spinner now and I find it disgusting. I hope the puppies are found safe and well regardless of who has taken them, I hope they were not taken by someone who wants to use them for breeding later on it sends chills up my spine thinking about it..... They should rightfully be snuggled up with their mummy right now not in the hands of some thieving idiot or stuck in a cold pen in a petstore for people to poke and prod at like a sideshow attraction. ......another reason why they should ban the sale or animals in pet stores... Salukifan
5 weeks is pretty standard for shipping pups into stores. They are cuter longer don't ya know.
Jigsaw
This would be an ideal opportunity to explain to the public why puppies should still be with their mother and not in a pet shop and why it's a good idea to see the parents of puppies.

pebbles
I understand the new Vic law is that pups (and I think kittens) may not be separated from their mothers until 8 weeks of age?
Issy
I thought Pet Barn didn't sell animals? It's not Pet Barn, it's a shop called The Pet Company Maybe that should be made clear, as some might get the wrong impression. I refuse to buy anything from a store that sells pets.
