Cougar
Hi all Just a quick question - where do you go to print pics? I've just had a bad experience with a photo gifts thing from a large chain store (yeah shouldn't have gone there, but they had the gifty thing that i wanted....). I'm very seriously considering complaining, but in the meantime thought i'd ask for recommendations from here. I'm in suburban melbourne, if that makes a difference! Thanks. kja
I've had very good luck with snapfish - I've had canvas and prints done. Canvas has held it's colour in the right conditions (sunlight = bad) and all of my prints still look fine a couple of years down the track. experiencedfun
KJA, I have thought about having a photo put on canvas, is there anything special I should consider or be aware of before doing it?
PossumCorner
Excellent quality at Digital Works in Hallam (Vic - near Dandenong). www.digitalworks.net.au You can drop off pick up in person, or order on-line for return mail delivery. Camera House in Croydon (Vic) are more than a bit better than most. Same you can be an in-person customer or use on-line system. (Not all 'Camera Houses' are the same)

experiencedfun
what should I be looking for in an ideal photo to blow up on canvas
huga
Probably size first and foremost. If your monitor is not calibrated to whomever you print with, you are always going to risk getting a canvas back with some difference in colour, contrast etc.
