Rozzie
What would it be? Making a quick trip to the GC and going for minimum baggage.
Staffyluv
For me it would depend on what I was intent on shooting... Of it was just the family I would take the 50mm If I wanted to shoot scenery I would the bigger zoom lens. Hopefully one of the photographers will come in and tell you because I am off on Thursday and really only want to take 1 lens but dare say I will end up taking
huga
50mm, no contest.

Rozzie
50mm it is. Makes it a bit easier to carry too.

kja
What's the GC? And what are our choices?
huga
I'm assuming the Gold Coast :)
kja
Thanks :) And what lenses do we have to choose from? And do you have a baby camera going, too?
DeltaCharlie
For me it would be a toss up between the (f1.8) 50mm or my (f2.8) 70-200mm. If space was an issue the 50mm as the zoom is pretty big, but would offer more flexibility.
piper
Would depend on the choices. I have 1 of the 18 - 250 super zooms. Not my favourite lens but great for travel.
Kirislin
I'm assuming the Gold Coast :) I thought she meant the Grand Canyon, I'm not good at these guessing games.
Rozzie
Yep, Gold Coast. Have a heap of lenses but will take the 50mm. Baby camera coming too.
Kirislin
I'd probably take a wider angle zoom if I had one something like a 17-70 or 24-70.
anniek
I'd take my 17-70 - much more options than my
helen
I would go 17-70 if I had one, :)
Staffyluv
I would go 17-70 if I had one, :) Isn't it lovely - I want one but also want a macro lens.. Alas the funds are limited and I must be patient.
anniek
I would go 17-70 if I had one, :) Isn't it lovely - I want one but also want a macro lens.. My sigma 17-70 IS also a macro lens maybe not in the same class as my canon 100mm macro, but it is still very good as an all round lens

kja
The Sigma 17-70 is one of those rare gems of a lens that only one company has. I love having it in my line-up even if I don't use it all that often on land (but when I want it, nothing comes close!)
