Mason_Gibbs
My 10 month old lab is shedding incredibly badly atm, I have to vacuum up to 3x a day if I am home and he is inside. He has never been this bad before. I fulminate him occasionally and I use a rubber horse brush on him almost daily. What else can I do? My other lab never sheds like this
Crisovar
He is probably getting ready for a lush new winter coat and ridding himself of puppy coat at the same time. You could probably rid yourself of some of it with a good hydrobath and high velocity blow out but unless he has finished his change it wont stop it. I get more coat out with a fine metal comb than any other brush, maybe you could try that.

Crisovar
We only have two peak times a year with shedding with our Lab and I bath and blow it out when he is at that really gross stage where if you touch him you dislodge a handful then continue to attack him with the comb. The rest of the year I comb him out once a week. I find the comb really good for the ruff and rump areas where they tend to be so thick. I have a mountain of brown hair in the bin as we speak from a comb out this afternoon. The only times I question my decision to add another Lab is when he is going through this. It is far worse than the GSD.
Dogsfevr
Blowing of coats can also be worse after surgery . Different coats also shed differently & the yellows tends be worse than chocs & blacks. Just keep brushing it out

RiverStar-Aura
I fulminate him Gotta love auto-correct!! I use a Zoom Groom on Zeus, a horse curry comb, shedding blade and furminator and he still sheds too! I've also found that using rubber gloves to gently hand strip has been a bit helpful but generally I just brush with a metal pin brush.
becks
Ask a groomer to use the high velocity dryer on him (doesn't need to be bathed, but that will help to loosen the hairs), this will get out all that is ready to come out at that time.
