hippie1969
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum so I am not too sure if I have posted in the right section. I have just adopted a 9 yr old dog from a shelter and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to which breeds he might have in him? We have been told Border Collie x Retriever-the shelter think Golden but aren't too sure. I just don't see much Border Collie in him though. If anyone has any ideas that would be great! Thanks! LizT
Welcome to DOL. :) What a sweet face your dog has. Clearly a happy fellow. He looks just like a bitch my ex's parents had when we first started dating. We all though Cristie was a Kelpie/Border mix. She was left tied up outsound the pound as a pup and my ex's dad worked at the Electricity supply next door and took her home.
GoldenGirl85
Definitely some golden in there, I think he is more of a bitsa than a cross, he is very cute though!
mita
I love his colouring. Reminds me of a kelpie. But that big happy smile does look like a golden retriever's. He's beautiful, with his own special 'look'.

Fit for a King
I'd guess rottie x aussie shepherd....
Alkhe
He actually looks like a small and less coated Bernese Mountain Dog, but that's one of those suggestions that was discussed in that 'breed misidentificaiton' thread
Janba
Lab cross Do labs carry the tri gene, I've never heard of a tri lab. He needs both parents to carry it to be a tri.
