Trishm Posted April 19, 2012 Share Posted April 19, 2012 We are having a Sausage sizzle at Petstock, Main North Rd, Parafield, on Saturday 12th May, to raise money for Jessies surgery. Please come along and have a snag and help this gorgeous girl. See Rescue thread. This is Jessie. She was recently rescued from the Port Augusta pound where she dumped by her previous owners. As you can see she has a deformed left front leg, which was the result of a neglected injury from when she was a puppy. When she was rescued, she was taken for her first visit to the vet, where the advice was that as one of her growth plates had stopped growing, the result of the injury was her leg bowing over. Jessie was referred to a specialist given the extent of the injury and the much needed surgery to give her a fulfilled life. This surgery will cost $3,000 which is the cost of materials only, the Vet Dr John Punke is donating his time and expertise to help Jessie, which is an unbelievably kind and generous act.
