What Are The 12 Month Needles?

Lucy is 1 today and I haven't booked her needles in yet, are these dire or can they wait a few weeks?

I'll book an appt today if they are dire necessary

My vet does them around 14-15 months, eg 12 months after the last puppy shot, so I'd say they are not dire. But don't forget them, they are very important. After these you can go on a longer schedule if you want but this lot are important.

Ahhh so I can time it 12 months from her last puppy shot, that's good to know, I never knew that.

The 12 month shot is important. This completes the series of vaccinations that can set a dog up for a lifetime of immunity to some of the diseases vaxed against.

And yes, it's not necessarily GIVEN at 12 months, it is approx 12 months after the final puppy shot which may be either 12 weeks or 16 weeks depending upon the protocol used by the individual vet.
