Diva Posted April 17, 2012 Share Posted April 17, 2012 My vet does them around 14-15 months, eg 12 months after the last puppy shot, so I'd say they are not dire. This completes the series of vaccinations that can set a dog up for a lifetime of immunity to some of the diseases vaxed against. And yes, it's not necessarily GIVEN at 12 months, it is approx 12 months after the final puppy shot which may be either 12 weeks or 16 weeks depending upon the protocol used by the individual vet.
