RubyStar
Can't comment on the dog, but the watermelon sure did the trick for me, yesterday! I didn't end up with a headache from lack of water. I ate watermelon and an apple, and felt great Ruby loved sharing the watermelon with me and scoring the apple core

Esky the husky
I usually give Esky some baited water before a run. Either baited with a tiny bit of chicken stock or a tin of sardines in water. Depending on what time we're running she might get a meal of 'husky soup' before hand. But if she's still sleeping when we leave home she does not. Post run she gets husky soup about an hour or 2 after. The day before a run I'll feed her a little more than usual to make sure she has the energy stores for a run. Sayreovi
The two I trial hate watermelon which is a shame, so I eat the watermelon and I give them cantelope. Not as watery but gives them some fluid :D
OSoSwift
I don't like watermelon and have no idea if the Whippets would eat it?? Will try the next time the OH has some.
sheena
We had our first trial since I made this posting & I am please to say, the difference in Bindi was amazing Each morning for breakfast, a couple of hours before the trial, I gave her about 100grams mince mixed with a good amount of warm water & she scoffed the lot. At the trial, I put some of her BH Kibble in the water & she scoffed the lot each time. On Saturday she got 2 "Q"s out of 4 runs, which gave her the ADX Title & this morning she ran another "Q" in ADX & she excelled in all the other events & only brought undone by my bad handling I gave the new boy the same (he's not trialling) & the strange thing is that neither of them did much in the way of poops....maybe they were hanging on till we got home. sheena
Wow! Fergus is going to get a whole bag through if that is the result! Well done Bindi and sheena Thanks...we should have had another 3 Qualies added to that except for handler error that caused her to drop a bar in Masters Agility, a 1/2 second over time in Excellent Jumping & my "blind spot" caused her to miss the entry jump to the Gamble. The best weekend we have ever had. I took along some home made beef stock & added it to her drinking water & she would drink as much as I was willing to give her to keep her hydration levels up
