ChantelleM
My 10 week Great Dane met his first puppy (13 week Rottweiler) and started a fight wit him! How do I stop this? He was growling and biting. This is his first meeting, and he keeps starting a fight! Please help! What do I do?!
raineth
ChantelleM, are you sure this is a fight? A lot of Dogs when playing make growling sounds and look quite wild. If you think it is aggressive behaviour it is really important to find yourself a good behaviourist. He is very young to be showing aggression. Have you contacted his breeder and asked them? You could describe what he is doing and say that you are unsure about it. If it really is aggression it is very important for them to know. Aussienot
Are you sure the puppies were fighting? Could it have been play? That is kind of how they play, mock fighting. If you find a good puppy preschool he can learn to socialise with other puppies in a more controlled setting.
ChantelleM
I took him to a dog park afterwards, and he was fine with the other older dogs. But this was a fight. At first it was just growling and puppy playing, but it definitely got far to aggressive and turned into a fight. I migh contact the breeder and see what she has to say. He's great with the other dogs. It's so strange.
Aussienot
At 10 weeks he is not vaccinated enough to be at a dog park. At this age only socialise him with known, fully vaccinated dogs in a safe, private place like your yard.
