dogslife
We need to get a very thin 12 week old pup to Sydney from Armidale ASAP. We may have a possible transport if we can get her to Bellingen. She need to be in the care of a vet and skilled foster carer to get weigh back on her. We have a foster carer in Sydney ready to take her. She arrived into Great Dane Rescue today and she only weighs 5 kilos instead of 14 kilos. This is her Anyone travelling this way this weekend..???? Anyone have a friend in Armidale who could help??? . . Edited March 30, 2012 by dogslife

Chequeredblackdog
Oh My God! That's horrible! I can't imagine how someone could let ANY animal, let alone a puppy, get in that state! Fingers crossed you get someone to help with transport.
gillbear
If you can get her to newcastle or central coast I can bring her the rest of the way. I would need to be able to pick her up before lunchtime though.

dogslife
The wonderful dogtainers offered us a discounted rate to fly her in a spot on a plane at lunchtime so we grabbed their offer and flew her down. Go Dogtainers.....!!!!!! .
stormie
Puppy is safe and sound and sleeping off a big day. Her condition wasn't as bad as we were expecting - still really lean, but not emaciated. Unfortunately it's not great news for her and it looks like she has megaesophagus.

Unless she's fed in a completely elevated position, food just doesn't make it down and ends up being regurgitated.

tdierikx
Dogtainers are awesome! Did you arrange it through the Sydney guys? They are usually happy to help out rescues with reasonable rates to transport dogs - we've used them quite a bit and can't fault their service at all... and the guys who do the Sydney driving are completely lovely, they really care about every animal they have on board.
