Finally I can post that we are having a whippet fun day at Wandin East reserve on the Monbulk Seville rd, Sunday March 25th starting at 11am. Make sure you come and introduce yourself, I will probably be the one driving the lure, or if I'm really lucky, doing what I love most at these days, taking photos. Is it BYO muzzle? (I don't have one, and would love any suggestions as to where to get one). And is there an age requirement? Rory is now 16 mths, and raring to go! If he can't run, we will probably still pop down to marvel at all the other lovely whippys. :) Rory is old enough to run, we like them to be at least 12 months old. We have muzzles for hire or purchase. To run your whippet it's $10 for the day, for as many runs as Rory can manage, just dont run him until exhaustion. You need to use your judgement there, or we'll tell you if he's had enough. Often the dogs lie and say they want to keep going. :laugh: Even if you dont run him it's a lovely way to meet other like minded people and socialise your dog. Just remember to byo everything. We used to use the facilities at the Healesville greyhound club but that's no more so we're trying this new place. We wont be doing a barbeque or raffle or free tea and coffee like we used to. I hope the Whippet people don't mind all us Iggy people muscling in, :) but it's such fun and as you know, I love seeing all your beautiful Whippets and watching them run, as well as catching up with everyone.
