Burkes
Hi All, About three weeks ago my Lab was in a panic at 2am running from the bedroom to the lounge and back. I got up to see what the problem was to find my 11yr old Rotty trying to vomit. When I turned on the light I could see straight away that she had bloat. Her stomach was enormous, rock hard and out to one side of her body. I threw her into the car and straight to the emergency vet. To keep a long story short by some miracle my girl survived the surgery and came home a few days later. Anyway, now as a result of the bloat she is suffering from kidney failure and high blood pressure. I have changed her diet to the Eukanuba renal and she is on daily medication for her blood pressure. So I am looking for any health tips from those who may have lived with dogs with kidney disease. Best foods, holistic therapies and the basic do's and don'ts. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to still have her with me and the fact that my other dog pretty much saved her life is just amazing. Here is a photo of them together with my other dog Gracie...and the cat Thanks
