Dog Loses An Eye Thanks To Homemade Bomb

Awful incident over the weekend here, as the title says, a local had a bottle bomb thrown over their fence, and their pet dog went and picked it up, loosing an eye after it exploded in his face. I was told about this today at work by one of the dog's owners and I was just horrified. Nothing prepares you for hearing something like that, and my heart goes out to the family.

Townsville residents are being urged to be vigilant after a Mt Louisa resident's dog lost its eye after a home made bomb exploded in the front yard.

The bomb was a soft drink bottle containing two substances that, when combined and shaken, result in an explosion that could easily kill a young child.

Residents are being urged to contact police if they find anything unusual or see anyone behaving suspiciously

I have shared on Fb, if anyone who reads this knows people in Townsville please pass the story along. We can only hope those responsible are caught before they hurt anyone else - pet and people alike.

Obviously they are not sane to do such a horrible thing.

I hope the dog recovers from his injuries, poor darling :)
