Beagles aren't known for being dog sports dogs but IMO they are pretty versatile. My beag does agility and obedience and excels at any scent based sport/activity

She also excels at eating everything in my house...

Very good at lounging if they have a proper "off switch" but not as good as greyhounds.

Amateurs  They haven't even got any teefs showing. And no pointed toes!!

Teef showing and toes point in the middle of the night on my bed, pointing into my face, when I can't be bothered finding the phone to take a picture

On a more serious note lounging can be trained from an early age by teaching a pup what you expect of it.

Had a friends young BC pup try Whippet herding a while back.

FAIL

Very challenging to herd an animal doing laps around you. To her credit she kept trying. Whippet switched to lounging in the end. :)

Hahaha Sal, that photo of Dizzy and Ziggy is priceless!!!

My Lab x GSP is a professional eater. His record is about 5kg of cat biscuits in one sitting. He also eats rabbit pellets, poo (of any variety), rubbish and even lemons and plums (stones included).

Border Terriers - good at absolutely everything - agility, obedience, tracking, endurance, earthdog, lizarding, rabbiting, toy chewing, herding (yes, yes - I've seen video of a BT herding!), tree climbing, fence climbing, yodelling, lounging about, sleeping, stalking birds, chasing balls, ignoring you, therapy dogs, arguing, answering back, loving, bed-sleeping, chasing small furry things, lapdog work, schutzhund, etc. etc. I think that just about covers it.....

Professional pot plant racing and "How much cat can you fit in your mouth at once?" competitions. But on a serious note, Kyojin's great at obedience. The breed are known for being stubborn, but I have heard of quite a few being good at Obedience.

What Akitas aren't crash hot at though is

Labradors excel at eating  If there were eating competitions like there are for humans, Labs would win!!!

Also tail/body wagging.

On a more serious note, Labs excel at a wide range of activities, they are probably one of the most versatile breeds in the world.
