For me it is more about which two dogs would you mix. It's not always about breeds, its about individual dogs and making sure their personalities are compatible.

I can't see how it can be a 'breed' thing..

Personally to me it is more a temperament thing. They all have their own personalities and quirks and it is up to us, as owners, to make sure that the house is a safe place for all the dogs that come not it..

Poodle - obedience, agility, flyball, canine freestyle. Two of mine will course!!!

Whippet: There are obedience and agility whippets. Some will course a lure. Most will course a hare (but not allowed here) and of course, lounging. ;) Nothing lounges better than A Whippet.

Border Collies - everything

They are not allowed to compete in earthdog or gundog trials but excel in obedience, agility, flyball, dances with dogs, herding etc.

Dallies are also very versatile but you need a sense of humour with them.

Personally, I think they are pretty ordinary at lounging. :provoke:

i own 2x dallys in our licorce all sorts type of house...

the dallies could fart for australia.... and win gold every time....

in fact this arvo we were going down the paddock and the stench was so bad we kicked the dog out to run after 2x farts.

they seem to be good at anything you ask if it is asked with food... not sure tho that agility would be their thing tho leo frequently falls over goofy style.

Very good at lounging if they have a proper "off switch" but not as good as greyhounds.
