heroeswit
I have been looking through the prefixes on the fci website and comparing them to the dogs qld magazine and of all the prefixes that I have entered the only 1 that I have been able to find is Alaskan Malamute breeder Darksky. the fci website says they update their website prefixes every week. I am just wondering how often the ANKC updates FCI on the breeders prefixes that have been approved? And can our prefixes be approved in another country? espinay2
I don't know that the ANKC provides prefixes to the FCI? Happy to stand corrected. From my understanding our 'associate membership' of the FCI has been somewhat tenuous? Yes, it is possible for a kennel prefix/affix in one country to also be used in another. It is very much a courtesy to try not to use a prefix/affix used by another breeder in the same breed at least if possible, particulaly one from a 'famous' kennel. Though this has still happened occasionally. Edited March 3, 2012 by espinay2
