Bjelkier
Hot off the press from Dogs ACT... looks like both shows are now off: discussions [held] with EPIC this morning and due to the unprecedented rain and more forecast over the next 48 hours they deemed the grounds closed for events. The showground is occurring flooding in some areas and advice from EPIC is that the car parks would not endure the traffic. Another point of concern is the damage to the grounds if occurred would have to covered by clubs holding the fixtures. One last important issue the showgrounds is a emergency relief centre and as such they are preparing for unlikely events and this is their first priority. This is regrettable but due to many numerous issues concerning safely the dog grounds will be closed until such times the conditions of the show ground improves. Damn it I was looking forward to showing this weekend. So what do the shows usually do in this event? Are we refunded our entry money or is the show held on a different weekend? Salukifan
So what do the shows usually do in this event? Are we refunded our entry money or is the show held on a different weekend? I'd have thought we'd write off the entries due to an act of God and hope for something bigger and better next year. No doubt both shows still have expenses to cover. SwaY
From FB NSW SHOW CANCELLATIONS - FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS Braidwood and Tarago Dog Shows Cancelled - please read Dogs ACT advice below. "Dogs ACT have had discussions with EPIC this morning and due to the unprecedented rain and more forecast over the next 48 hours they deemed the grounds closed for events. This is regrettable but due to many numerous issues concerning safely the dog rounds will be closed until such times the conditions of the show ground improves." Diva
Just to show how serious it is, the Farmers Market at EPIC has been cancelled for this Sat too. There are farmers market tragics all over Canberra quietly going into shock at that news.... (Telida, if your weekend isn't full yet you could always drop by for a cuppa.) Alyosha
 I too was wondering about entry fees. Not that I wanted to bug the poor secretary about it, but it was something I. hadn't experienced. I can imagine a logistic nightmare if they were to be returned!
Diva
I don't think they get returned for 'acts of God'. But I am only going on what I read when a couple were cancelled for heat, it could be wrong.
