Alkhe
The other day I saw a little wet patch on the couch where Maggie had been lying, and thought she must've been licking herself or something, and licked a wet patch on the couch (or I'd spilt something and not realised). I didn't think anything of it. I just noticed it again though- she had just been lying there just chilling and I noticed a very wet patch under her vagina. It's not urine, it seems a bit thicker and is clear. Occasionally she does a tiny wee when she gets really overexited, but she's only 4 and not incontinent. A few minutes after finding this patch, I checked again (she had moved on the couch) and there was another wet patch underneath her. Does anybody have any ideas as to what this could be? Does this just happen sometimes or it is an early sign of a UTI or something?
Guest Ams
I think a vet check is probably the way to go. It could be an infection just starting or it might be nothing. Better to check though.
cavNrott
Probably vaginitis. A trip to the vet would be the way to go.
Alkhe
Great, thanks for your advice Ams and cavNrott - will give them a call first thing. I'm never sure whether I'm overreacting and/or being paranoid, but I'm so glad this forum exists to reassure me I'm not completely insane worrying about these things!
