dog geek Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 So - clearly I am skiving off and avoiding housework :p Does no one else has nightmares about fumbling around in their dog's mouth in order to show the judge - and realising it is a disgusting, stained, stinky, toothless mess? Or being unable to find their way to the ring, because somehow their vision has suddenly been restricted to a blurry pinhole (a lá migraine vision) and this for some reason necessitates crouching nose to ground to find the path... whilst being aware of the skirt that is normally halfway to your knee is no longer covering the essentials? I had a real heart-stopper the other night, I somehow managed to commit some serious criminal misdemeanour while in my gazebo and was rooted to the spot, aghast and aware of my debased and immoral (but completely incomprehensible) crime, as The Police slo-moed towards me... stonecutter Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 I had a bad dream last night - got to the show and opened my gazebo bag and it fell apart into a thousand pieces and everything I pulled out of my grooming box was wrong :laugh: I think I was nervous before today as I was hoping we'd get our last points for our Ch title! Edpra Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Mine was one of those dreams you get when you are pregnant and a really vivid one at that (and this was a while ago- so no stress Im not pregnant atm lol) It wasnt a nightmare- but a weird yet nice one- I was going to a show (and it was the same show that was the next day), I dreamt my bitch picked up a 10pt CC Weird thing is- I handled my friends bitch to the 10pt CC the next day and my girl got reserve from minor! Have no idea how I dreamt 10pts and it actually was- freaky stuff lol. Ive had lots of dreams like that, not usually containing my dogs, but my friends and most of them happen. Twice when my girl was pregnant I dreamt that she produced two parti color pups in the litter. One pup would be more black than white and the other would would be more white than black and the rest of the litter would be plain black. No Schipps can not produce parti colors. My dog was loose and got away into the surrounding streets and I couldn't find her. God how I stressed at the show the next day. Abilene Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 I haven't had dreams about the showring for years, but a couple of times things that happened in the show ring, I wished had been a dream :laugh: We were at a show and there were were two steel poles in the ring our ring.. I was running, really running with a dogue de bordeaux (yeah he could cover some ground) and looking at the dog instead of where I was going and I ran smack bang into the steel pole ... I saw stars but kept going and finished the class, but I really was a little dazed... gave myself a really bad headache ... and wouldn't you know it, that was the night I had to stick around for general specials, when all I wanted to do was go home and sleep....
