Cavstar
Just wondering if anyone has any rooms/areas that are out of bounds to their furkids? When we first got Lucy the OH said no dogs on the couch... which lasted a minute  Then no puppy in the kids rooms - yeah right! Then no puppy upstairs.. which lasted a good month  The one that he was most adament on is his man cave (theatre).. well guess who I caught snuggling up to him there ON THE COUCH watching a movie on the weekend? The only one he won't cave on is letting her on our bed.... which I do when he has gone to work & I'm getting ready for work
kezzzza
My Kids can go where they like but they don't go into the spare room at all. Their choice, the door is always open but they don't go in.
Pollywaffle
The 'no go' zones in our house are for OH and I...if the dogs want to go there, we can't! FYI, my boy has taken to lay at the foot of the bed where my feet are supposed to go..I actually sleep around him...yep..stupid!
dee lee
No couch, no beds. Other than that, she can go everywhere. Used to be my husband's rules (which we didnt pay much heed to ;)) , but then she got a wee bit incontinent so...

aussielover
Can't go in the formal lounge room, can't go into any of the studys or any bedrooms (except mine- she sleeps on my bed ). Can't get up on the couch unless invited. The dog learnt remarkably quickly considering there are no doors at all downstairs. There is an "imaginary line" for the lounge room and she is very good at not crossing it. sounds very strict, but in reality she is very spoilt and there is generally no need or want for her to go into any of the "forbidden" areas. Miranda
We have a gate on our bedroom door, but apart from that they can go wherever they like.
german_shep_fan
No bed and no couch, other then that pretty much anywhere they like, my big fella likes the double shower
Niques
The only permanent no-go zone is the bathrooms. He'll steal any underwear off the floor and go in the shower and gets wet paws. A few of the carpeted rooms are kept with doors shut when not in use simply so he doesn't get up to any mischief, but he's allowed in under supervision. Agility Dogs
We have 2 no go areas. The first is on our bed - only because we don't want the white bed covers dirty. The other is the rooms that the cats get fed in - otherwise they race straight in and steal the cat food!
LizT
Cavaliers on the bed only when invited. ;) Which is usually when I'm sleeping. There are dog gates everywhere so that the no go zones are dependent on what's going on. The BIG no go zone is my 19 year old daughters bedroom. It has a baby gate on to keep dogs out as it is just too dangerous, and at times too messy. Too many G strings have been chewed up to count!! Chocolate has been left within reach! And Clover decided, that despite having an excellent bite, she needed to chew on my daughters retainer! I was lucky that time as she had both top and botton clear braces which look like they are made out of a plastic biscuit tray and it cracked! Fortunately we had a spare from the last set as daughter had cracked the other one herself. Phew!! When the G. Shepherd was a puppy and lived indoors he stayed in the family room...because he was told to. No gates then. :D Edited February 13, 2012 by LizT
grizabella
The 'peace and quiet' room is out of bounds for Bella, as is my mum's bedroom. She's only allowed on the sofa if her blanket is up there (she got the hang of this very quickly).
Red Fox
Laundry, bathroom, kids room, spare room. They are either gated or doors are kept closed.
JulesP
Dogs are allowed on their beds which are in the kitchen. Rest of house is out of bounds. Red dirt and cream carpets are not a good match. They are outside during the day btw.
Malamum
The tiled kitchen/family room is their domain. Access to anywhere else in the house is by invitation only.
MavericksMission
Their main living areas are the Kitchen/Dining/Living area & the lounge room. They are allowed in other areas, but only when I invite them :)
murve
Like Lizt we have baby (doggy) gates everywhere, definately no go Loo, Bathroom & Laundry, its great there, one gate cuts off those 3 rooms, other than that most gates open & run of the house  I found them the best thing since sliced bread with multi amount of dogs
