PETA's porn site is now accepting sign-ups and is expected to launch in the near future.

"We're not quite ready to reveal PETA.XXX yet, but we promise that when we do, there will definitely be a real happy ending," the site reads.

The splash page displays a signup for those interested in getting the news when the site officially launches.

The animal rights organization is known for using edgy marketing strategies to spread its messages. The organization made the announcement last summer that it planned to reserve one of the new .xxx domain extensions.

It said the intention for the domain PETA.XXX was to create a "pornography site that draws attention to the plight of animals."

Lindsay Rajt, a spokesperson for PETA told XBIZ at the time that the site would include explicit images and the possibility of featuring well known porn stars and personalities.

"You know we've worked with Ron Jeremy, Sasha Grey and Jenna Jameson before, so there is that possibility that we'll have them on board again as well as other big names," Rajt said.

In response to those saying that the website was another example of PETA disrespectsing women, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk fired back in a radio interview earlier this year, calling such accusations "fiddlesticks."

"I am a woman, and I am 62 and a bit," she said. "I have appeared in the I'd Rather Go Naked ads. That may give you a shudder, but it's true. And we have ample examples of men who have appeared in them, too. They just don't get the same press. We pretty much do anything and everything. It's just that some things get press and some things don't."

Newkirk challenged critics to speak with any of the women who have agreed to participate in past campaigns; using actress Taraji Henson as an example. "Ask her, and she'll say, I'm a powerful woman. I use my body as a political statement. I'm entitled to. We don't live in Afghanistan. Leave me alone."

That organisation is as if they're simply proving how stupid, gullible and sheep-like the human race can be, participating in yet more farcical activites at the whim of a crazy person ... wow vegan porn.

I wonder how they get around a sexual context involving the idea of animals not being outside legal parameters of the US porn industry.
