BJean
Just wondering what other people have paid to fly their dog from Poland to Australia. I have a quote for nearly $7300 (crate size is big also 140 x 85 x 90) but it still seems excessive. Thank you ETA: crate size is actually 122 x 81 x 89 Edited February 14, 2012 by lilli
Bjelkier
I paid $4815 for an adult Samoyed. However we did have to get our dog driven to Prague because Poland wouldn't fly a dog out and I think that was roughly an extra $500 on top of the flights. *Lolapalooza*
I realise its ridiculously far from Poland but a friend of mine had similar quotes from Hungary and her (super) breeder drove the dog to Amsterdam to 'Animals to Fly' and it was approx $3000. Maybe it would be cheaper to fly your dog to Amsterdam to them and go from there?
DLB
Was the original quote all inclusive - door to door including quarantine fees? If so, that is probably right

Maybe it would be cheaper to fly your dog to Amsterdam to them and go from there? It took 10 months to get the dog from Belorus to Poland, so I am reluctant to move him any more than necessary ... also I don't knwo how he would go with a crate change ... there are handler issues I have to consider also. Thank you all the same for your suggestion and consideration :)
BJean
Was the original quote all inclusive - door to door including quarantine fees? If so, that is probably right The original quote was door to airport, with crate size 122 x 81 x 89, but did not include Australian import permit, veterinary test ie RNATT or AQIS 30 day quarantine. Actually yesteday I realised their first quote was to Sydney and for the wrong size crate. So I told the company the corrections ... The new quote from Poland to Melbourne with crate size 140 x 85 x 90 arrived this morning: $8140AUD I will see what Australia's domestic companies can offer.... wayrod
... with crate size 122 x 81 x 89, Lilli, With this size crate you may not get out via Warsaw but may need to go out via Vienna. Wayrod
