So Who Went To Dunbar In Oz

I went to the first day. I had a good time but didn't get anything out of it I wouldn't have from watching a DVD.

Maybe if I'd been able to stay around for the session in the bar afterwards where he kept saying he'd answer questions I would have got more, but I had to get home to animals. I would have preferred more discussion during the day itself. I think he nailed it when he said he wouldn't come back unless it was for a workshop format.

I'd paid for the third day as well, but didn't get enough out of the first to think it warranted the travel to go back.

Happy I went though - good to check people out in person.

I went for the first two days. I Really enjoyed the first day and it sent me away with lots of things to think about in regards to our rescue and what out carers are providing our dogs.

The second day I didn't enjoy at all. I felt like I learnt more about his son Jamie than anything else.

I found him a tad arrogant and he spent a bit too much time bagging out everyone else too. He clearly knows his stuff but I wouldn't go again.

Well for what it's worth. I had a ball, learned a lot from all 3 days that i can directly apply to my work and to our buisness. I didnt mind him bagging people out (you mean other trainers or the audience??) I believe I copped it a few times from him. The Q&A sessions at the end were helpful as well. I think the Jamie stories are fairly typical of him aren't they?

Only made it to the last day although I paid for all three. Enjoyed it and found bits thought-provoking. Really sorry I missed the other days, I would have enjoyed hearing him critique other approaches to training. I'm assuming he didn't just say (eg) "Victoria Stilwell is rubbish". He was a tad painful and arrogant perhaps, but as long as he's interesting I don't care. Seemed like Victoria insofar as successful dog trainer moves to the States and makes a million or two.

Don't mind questions at the end otherwise some people hog the time and just won't stop and you miss half the content. Missed question time because I had to get home. That would have been interesting.

A friend of mine went the 3 days & enjoyed it. She can understand what you meant about the 1st day but found the 2nd & 3rd days better.
