underfoot
Ok I have pulled out my whelping box from the garage, to get ready for my girl to whelp in, and it is filthy. Mind you I put it away nice and clean. What do you guys use for cleaning the whelping boxes, if anything? I am especially interested in what people also use to clean the box out as the paper etc is changed daily?
LizT
What surface are we talking about? A good scrub especially in the corners with very hot soapy water would be my first option. Maybe add some disenfectant like Pineoclean.

Fordogs
A good scrub with hot soapy water would be enough. As for cleaning post whelping I love baby wipes they do a great job / safe for a baby's bottom excellent for the whelping box.
underfoot
Thanks everyone. I worry a bit using any commercial type cleaners and am always interested in more natural methods. Shall try some soap and water and then some vinegar. Baby wipes are a great idea!! thanks

wayrod
You could try either: F10 veterinary disinfectant or Viraclean hospital grade disinfectants or as mentioned good old soap and water, rinse and wipe over. As for me I would soap and water and rinse to clean majority of build up dirt and grime then use all over spray of F10 or viraclean, as I have both in supply.
