SueM
I am starting on a small scale, a rescue to help some of our smaller dogs that are being left in pounds up here at an ever growing rate, if anyone is interested in possibly foster caring in the Ipswich/Brisbane areas if you could get in touch, I am only going to have a couple of dogs at a time, it is going to be a small operation. All dogs will be vet checked, vaccinated desexed, heart worm tested, flea treated and wormed before going to foster carers, I have started a group on facebook if anyone wants to join thanks https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/355903717771587/
Loving my Oldies
I've sent a link to my sister and my niece in Brisbane, Sue, hoping they might be able to provide assistance from time to time. Good luck with your venture.

mita
https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/355903717771587/ VC, it's one of those Facebook pages where you have to be on Facebook to open it. So people who are not on Facebook can't see it. AWL Qld's Facebook page is one where people don't have to be on Facebook to see and read. Would you consider changing yours to be the same? It's also one where you have to ask to join the group... can you make it an open page Varicool so people can 'like' it rather than it being closed to the public? I do little ones too, mostly oldies, palliative care, etc. I'm sure we could help/support each other in our venture to continue to save these lovely littlies :)

That sounds like the same as AWL Q'ld's Facebook page. I'm not on Facebook, but I can click on Wall and read all the updates, including anything they need. If I'm able to help, I can then phone or email the AWL. http://www.facebook.com/AWLQLD
SueM
I have no idea how to change it now, as its only going to be a very small rescue , I think I will leave it as is for now. I can always post on here as well. Edited January 29, 2012 by varicool
yellowgirl
I think it needs to be a 'Page' not a 'Group' :)

Little Gifts
Varicool I will pass the word around as I have at least one friend interested in fostering only small dogs. She is also approved with RSPCA but they don't send much her way. She currently has two swf's who are social with other dogs and have not really been bothered by the comings and goings of previous foster dogs to date. Thanks that would be awesome, I just need two or three carers and then I will be set, before they go into foster care all the vet work will be attended to and they will also be dog and cat tested.
