Puppy Incontinence?

Hi everyone

I have a 4 1/2 mnth old female German Shepherd. I have noticed the past 3 days or so that whenever i roll her over to give her a belly scratch ect that the fur around her genital area is always wet. Its not just saliva from her mouth it is actually wet. She is not wet anywhere else so this has me worried. Do you think she is slightly incontinent? I read one puppy health website that said its abnormal at this age of course and that it could mean things have not formed properly or are misaligned and it can be very serious so now i am really worried

I have a mobile vet so i am going to call him first thing tomorrow morning. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

Thank you everyone.

..or perhaps the fur gets wet when she toilets?

if you are actually rolling her over .. her brain may be interpreting this as her having to be extra submissive, so she pees just a tiny bit , as submissive puppies do .

try just gently stroking her under the chin, and on the chest while she's sitting /standing .. rather than rolling her over, and see if you still notice it ...

She rolls over on her own for belly rubs, she likes them. She is not an overly submissive pup and i am not overly domineering with her at all so im not sure. One thing i have noticed tho when she toilets is that she positions one leg further out then the other so i am thinking a chiro check? I have noticed sometimes she also gets up slightly before she has finished so maybe it stays wet from that? Vet did hip checks on her for me at 4mths and checked her gait ect and he was happy with her (ik its too early to tell conclusively she is ok...) so i am hoping its not a sign of HD.

Edit: sorry i realise i said in my post i roll her over to belly rub, sometimes i do and its there and sometimes she rolls over herself to ask for one and its wet then too.

Some pups go through piddly stages when being patted, just like fear stages it is not abnormal or indicative of being overly submissive etc.

If you're in touch with you vet, it could be worth checking for UTI, but it may be just a puppy stage.
