Podengo
I got a canon 550D, it's lots of fun so far, but I have a lot to learn! Enjoy some of the many dog photos I have taken! Lottie (Dobe) and Libby (Ridgeback X) out on my parent's farm.

Podengo
Love your new camera, great photos they are very clear were you using the kit lens and were you shooting in auto? I was using the longer kit lens, efs 55-250mm, for what it's worth. Yes shooting in auto, in sports mode so I have lots of pictures to choose from! I have been trying to figure out the manual thing, taking a photo, then changing a setting, then taking the same photo and trying to see what the difference is, but that's not working... So I think I will have to find some good online tutorials and sit down one evening and actually read something!

Lottie just avoids all contact with the cows.... not their poop though!
Podengo
Congrats on your new toy! The dogs are gorgeous and you're off to a great start with your photos. I did an 8 week WEA course (2 hours pw) when I first got my DSLR and it was fantastic for teaching me how to use the manual settings, so it might be worth looking in to something like that. I think the cost was somewhere between $90 and $120 and well worth it. If you want to PM me your email address I'm happy to send you a copy of my notes from the course to get you started. I typed them up so they'd be fairly easy to follow for someone who didn't do the course. Ooo I would LOVE that thanks! PMing you now
