Shelby
Can you believe it? It is 11.30am and I have fireworks being let off somewhere in the neighbourhood. It is bad enough during the night but in the daytime Have had to lock the dogs up so they are not out there barking. So fed up with the bangs & whistles. Just wish they would blow themselves up gggrrrr
Fuzzycuddles
Ridiculous, if you're going to do it fine but show some courtesy and let people know so we can look after our animals... Easter down here was insane some idiot let fireworks off maybe 100M away without warning even knowing we had dogs with us :
mumof4girls
Why would you let them off during the day??
Ben and Jerry
You would want to hope its not kids blowing things up if there being used in day light
TashaBailey
Just typical for your area Shelby. I know I will not be going anywhere New Years Eve because we always have someone in the street behind me let them off and we have an older dog who is petrified of them and will grab the nearest thing to him - usually one of the younger shelties. Seems pointless letting them off during the day though!!!!1.

I am lucky that they do not scare the dogs - just makes em want to go out & bark at the noise. When I hear the boom, boom I am not sure whether to duck for cover in case it is gun shots :D ;)
poochmad
I thought it was illegal and you could only use them at certain times of the year?
Shelby
Yes it is illegal but it doesn't seem to stop the neighbourhood around here from letting them off. I will probably be hearing them every night till New Years Eve and for a time after that.
kazads
I am pretty sure it is illegal full stop for the average Joe Blow.
jr_inoz
I thought it was illegal and you could only use them at certain times of the year? It is - and if you know who it is - you can tell the cops.
ridgiemum
My dog gets scared of fireworks, but only at night as a neighbour let off some big booming ones a couple of years ago. I hate them, they seem to go off all the time here, even at 3am.
luvsdogs
Sounds like my area. Hasn't been a real lot as yet, but Christmas Eve we could see them just outside my loungeroom window. Our 11 y/o dog is so scared of storms & fireworks. We usually get them daylight hours as well as all hours of the night/early morning hours.
