Exercising Pups...

I personally believe dogs need some form of excercise. pent up energy causes far more mental and physical problems in the long run from what ive heard and experienced. My 2 high energy GSP's get a run at the park in the am as well as a walk around the block and training session in the pm. I work full time shift work so sometimes i get up at 4.45 am (like thismorning) to make sure my dogs get a run (the run is on their terms though. They stop and go as they wish, i dont force them to run/make them run with me. It is off leash zoomies if that makes sense). My youngster is now 5 months old and is a much happier, relaxed and trainable dog after having her excercise requirements met (both physically and mentally)...that being said, i havent always 'excercised her'. When she was young, it was more walks to expose her to different environments rather than burning energy. :)
