mumof4girls
Hi guys I just had thought .. I have been buying packs of turkey necks and chicken necks to stock up. I just realised that my intention for them will be to blend them up and put in kongs and freeze .My question is can I do this if they have been frozen already ?? Guess if they can't then I'll need to rethink this , I know I can chop them up and feed as is but I want my boy to work for it..
Kobi'sDaisy
As long as meat is de-frosted outside of the "danger zone" (ie. a fridge rather than microwave) you are able to re-freeze and consume. We have done it with meat out of the freezer and eaten it and it was fine!
mumof4girls
Thanks kobi that was something I didn't even think about, I'll just make sure I defrost it in the fridge :-)
grace
Many years ago I worked at a chicken processing plant. Quite often if the daily kill was not enough to fill the orders the frozen chicken was thawed the night before and sold as fresh chicken. So I dare say people would have bought it and refroze it so it can be done.
Teebs
My dogs leave bones till they are green to eat... I'm sure refreezing something won't hurt them!

Maybe I should stop thinking like I'm feeding a person lol although he will be a pup so I should be a little cautious :-)
