WreckitWhippet
It's great that others are catching on and realise that they don;t need to sell puppies and kittens in order to make money. Our store doesn't and we are busier than ever before, there is tremednous support from registered breeders and those who oppose the sale of live animals. Talien
I think it is a brilliant idea to display ones that need homes from animal aid etc though!

oakway
Maybe the shop could keep a book where pure bred registered breeders could list their names and phone number or e mail address and the breed that they may have for sale.

snake catcher
I wont do business with a shop that has dogs or cats in their displays. Im thinking even the birds and rodents in these shops could do with a bit more respect.

Pollywaffle
As someone who lived in Rocky for several years and was part of CAA, I can honestly say that this is a momentous change in local thinking...very commendable!

casowner
We have rescue kittens in each weekend but they are not sold by the shop all adoptions are done through the rescue group. We donate goods to their auctions and all cats/kittens adopted through the store or by referrals from us are given a $20 store voucher to help the owners buy accessories/food etc
